Poorly secured stanchions (especially at boarding points) will eventually cause wet deck damage.
Though this is a common problem on many production-quality boats built throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s, this example highlights a 1987 Pearson 36. We have performed this repair on so many Pearsons over the years, that we now offer special “Pearson” custom finished stainless steel support plates to complete this project. (Of course, we can make them for the stanchions on any boat that has this problem.)
